I didn’t realize the dimensions we OD not ID so I ended up using them on the screws which mounted the plywood board to the studs flanking the gable vent (instead of mounting the fan to the plywood for which I used bigger screws). My fan had rubber isolators anyway. First one shot out after I tightened down the screw with my impact driver. I leaned it was best to put a metal washer on the end of the screw to hold the washer in place. Worked after that. I was using #8 screws which fit the ID.
