The belts loops are always a bit thin but they only tore when I caught then on something. Always a good idea to run a needle and thread through the buttons when ya first get them because those are the first things to go, and even those stay for some time. The pockets are deep all the way around and the ones in the back let me put my wallet in and move it to the side so I don't start getting uncomfortable while sitting. I've never liked using the drawstrings at the ankle, but if/when you've got to tuck your trousers into your boots, they're a lifesaver.
