Can hold small snacks and/or notepad with pencils and colors. Perfectly matches the wallet. My daughter prefers the wallet though... maybe after she uses it.There is a zipped compartment visible in pic. That whole front past is a flap that has an open pocket below (can hold wallet). And there is a zipped main compartment - no additional compartments in here. The blue one looked like it had been returned. The paper and tape that held the strap inside the bag was torn and the strap was laying loose inside the bag. When I went to attach the strap to the bag I discovered that the hook was broken. I had to use a keychain loop to attach the strap, or face the wrath of my youngest's disappointment that she couldn't have hers yet, not to mention the process of exchanging the bag. The keychain fix isn't working out very well. Quality control is lacking for sure.
