**Q: Will it reach 2 eggs in a small bowl?  Will the elevation keep it from doing small jobs like this like other egg beaters do with elevation devices?**
A: I've had no problem beating 2 eggs in a cereal bowl.  It beats them in a shallow bowl but I like to use them in a little deeper bowlbecause it reduces spillage because of the shallow depth.  You get a lot of beating speed with very little effort out of this beater.I would not be without one of the OXO egg beaters.

**Q: Are there any advantages to this over an immersion blender?  Also, would this work to mix the wet & dry ingredients in a quick bread?**
A: The nature of quick bread dough is to become tough with too much movement of the batter when combining the wet and dry ingredients. The best method for muffin or quick bread batter is to gently fold the wet and dry ingredients together. If you put any muscle into it, you're going to develop the gluten and produce tough rather than soft quick breads, and muffins and loaves will have a conical peak to the top which is a dead giveaway that you're a novice baker. The best advantage these manual egg beaters have over immersion blenders is the incorporation of air into the mixture. It is ideal when you want to mix a viscous liquid like whole eggs or heavy cream. It incorporated air for fluffy egg whites and clouds of whipped cream. An immersion blender's very small blades are designed to not greatly disturb the surface of the liquid you're blending. This reduces splashing considerably.

**Q: will this really make whipped cream?**
A: I haven't personally tried making whipped cream with this, but I remember my mom making whipped cream with the great old-time egg beater she had. Basically, it just takes perseverance!

**Q: Does it make stiff peaked whipping cream**
A: Yes it does.  I make alot of puddings as well and they are so much lighter now and more like a mousse.

The best egg beater, period. Effortless for the user. Capable of whipping the eggs into a foam if you want. Bottom half detaches with a button to make cleaning simple. Had mine for years. This one was a gift for my daughter.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a really great tool!

This purchase is a gift so my review is based on the same product that I have used for several months, mostly for making whip cream from heavy cream. This beater is so convenient and easy to use. Just pick it up, put it into the bowl with whatever you want to mix and crank away. It's really easy to crank too fast and splatter your food around the room so control yourself. Despite it being sold as an egg beater I've never used it for that because I always forget about it and I usually just mix up my eggs in the pan as I scramble them. I used it last week to make a cake and it was real easy to use and did a great job of getting clumps out of the mixture. As it all began to mix well it got pretty thick and more difficult to mix but this beater handled it well with only slightly more force on the handle. Cleaning is not so easy as there are 8 blades and the blade support to clean. I find that licking the remaining whip cream off the blades as well as I can is enjoyable and delicious and makes less mess to clean off the beaters. While the remaining stuff on the blades is still fresh I run it under hot water and spray with the kitchen faucet sprayer until it looks clean. The put it in the dishwasher to make sure it's cleaned well. The beater assembly detaches from the motor easily so it can be popped into washer and you can also remove each of two beater blades completely for washing. I think it works great and that's why I bought another to give to someone. I recommend this product based on my personal use.
