I like canvases with a good amount of texture, and these fit the bill! I do sand with fine sandpaper prior to painting...just a quick once over, which helps save my brushes from too much wear and tear. They were slightly loose on the frame, but a quick spritz of water on the reverse side before painting gets them tight as a drum! (Warm water works well if they are really loose). The wood frame is well constructed and appears to be very sturdy. They are meant to be a pack of 3, but I only received one as they were inadvertently separated at the warehouse. The seller was amazing and took care of the issue very quickly and efficiently!
