This cable is girthy but it needs to be girthy to meet the displayport 1.4 standard at 5m in length. You need to take that into consideration when purchasing as it can affect cable tidying and routing. In terms of functionality this cable works. It seems daft to have to point that out but there are a lot of cables that claim to support displayport 1.4 but don't. I have no drop outs or moments of black screens which you can experience on lesser cables. It also handles HDCP content with no issues, again lesser cables can cause crashing with HDCP content.
