Haven't flown this one yet. **Q: Do i need to buy engines and a launch pad for this?** A: Yep! Kit only contains the rocket. Look for a good starter set that has launch pad, launch controller, and probably another rocket with engines thrown in. The interceptor is a semi-heavy rocket. So try a B6-4 or C6-3. You don't want much delay time before the ejection charge or she'll be screaming back down to earth before the chute gets out. **Q: What engines do i buy for this rocket? It shows c6-7 but customer service said c6-3???** A: Hi Jamie, this is a high performance rocket, after engine burn-out the rocket still has a lot of vertical velocity. If the chute deploys too early, you run the risk of detatching the chute from the rocket. The optimum time for chute deployment is at the moment of apogee, when the rocket is essentially at a stand-still. My recommendation is to stick with a C6-7. Observe the chute deployment, if the rocket passes apogee for an appreciable time before deployment, then you may consider a shorter delay time. But for this rocket, I think a C6-3 is too short of a delay time. Maybe a C6-5 might be something to consider. Short answer, C6-7 at first. I hope this helps.
