It you push a little outwards on the sides the bar will fall out and if you child is leaning the slightest bit on the bar they will fall. I screwed the bar in place so that this doesn’t happen again but BEWARE and go ahead and screw the safety bar in place ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great stool and customer service *by L***L on November 15, 2020* Daughter loves the stool and watching us cook our nightly dinners.
