From tip-to-tip is only three inches. You might be able to stick a 3 1/4 car key in it, but you would have to put it in a little sideways, if it would fit, and then it probably would not close. To answer the question, I would say "No." **Q: What is the length and width?** A: 2” wide and 3” long. **Q: can it fit in a tight area in purse?** A: probably! these things are about 3/8" of an inch and maybe 3" long. (IF you DON'T make them BULGE with coins!) all one really EVER needs is about $1.40 worth of coins (for: ex: 4.99+ tax situations) UNLESS !! you are facing a super hungry parking meter ! , and if that is not normally the case, you don't want to carry lbs of coins around anyway ! i PRAY to these things, but ONLY quikoin !
