I started 4 cars without a problem. However, when I tried to start a 2014 Explorer it wouldn't start it. I charged it fully and tried it on a different Explorer. Again, it wouldn't work. It turns everything on in the Explorer, but it just clicks when the ignition is turned. I was surprised at this, because I had no problem starting a Ford F150 with it. The cars I've succesfuly started so far are an F150, Fusion, MKZ and a Taurus.The carrying case for this is cheaply made. The zipper was broken when I got it. The unit is very small, but the carrying case is a lot larger than it needs to be. I put it in a case I had laying around that is much smaller.If it started the Explorers I'd give it a 4 star. I have yet to see it because I will only be using this in case my car battery goes dead so I liked the long standby time and not having to charge it every 3 months. I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about when he wrote that the case was cheap. Mine is a well made, nice padded case, with elastic straps to hold down the different parts, unlike many others that just sit in the case without securing them. This is important so the unit does not fall out acidentally and get damaged.
