As it turns out, I didn't wear them much because they didn't feel comfortable when I wore them inside my shoes, and I was annoyed that I'd have to buy bigger shoes just to make them fit better. I felt like I'd thrown a good chunk of change out the window.Now I saw these and decided to give them a chance. As it turns out, they work great - the cushion stopped my arches from hurting immediately. The only drawback is that they are made cheaply and wear out fairly quickly - but I'd rather pay $8 for 50 of these because I can wear them inside sneakers, dress shoes, and even sandals.However, make sure you buy the real thing - I've noticed there are a lot of cheap knockoffs out there. Then our foot pain came back and these were no where to be found until I thought to look for them on Amazon.com. Sure enough-there they were! I bought about 10 pair just to have because I knew how well they worked and that I would not be able to find them any where else. And the price was great too! I've given some to my friends and my mother who were all suffering with foot and heel pain. They love them too! I did notice though that some of them were a little tighter than others. I don't know why. I do have to remove the tighter ones after a little while because they become too uncomfortable. Walking was like stepping on a 'painful burn' and finding these brought the 'lift' I needed in my arch to take weight and pressure off this calloused area; hopefully that will help me 'soften' that area with ointments applied. The band around makes it stay in place well, and on my foot, it doesn't cause any swelling or discomfort. I DO place it on TOP of my socks if I wear socks, so that I don't have to struggle getting it on and off. With certain shoes, I use both supports, so that there is ample 'lift', placing one on either side to the center of my arched area.
