I want to lock a plug to a Smart plug, total depth 6cm.** A: Hi The depth from the top of the socket to the inside top of the cover is 25mm, so it won't accommodate your Smart plug unfortunately. **Q: Can you keep one side open or do they both have to be licked??** A: On the Twin/Double Socket-Loc there are two independant covers (one for each plug) so yes you can keep one open if needed. **Q: can this be used on light switches?** A: I would say yes, this ones a single socket and I’m using it to lock data sockets from people unplugging them. I would say though it’s quite easy to open without the keys, just a small screw driver is needed. **Q: what length is this? i have a socket with a plug which drops down below...** A: Hi The Internal dimensions are 110.5mm High and 72.6mm Wide and finally it is 36.2mm deep. Maybe we were lucky, but we have had no issues with it all and has done the job exactly as we wanted it to. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fiddly but works *by S***H on 22 February 2023* I needed this to stop my little boy from turning on his main bedroom light at night. He would love to play all night if it was on. You have to unscrew the switch panel slightly to slide it behind before tightening it again. I absolutely hate the little key it came with. It is sharp, uncomfortable to hold and I was never able to open it using it. Instead I push the little clip in to open it using a mini spanner. It does work though. I only pop in the top clip as it's super difficult to open again otherwise.
