It is much thinner than what you would expect and the quality just isn't that great. It is definitely a sub £10 product and the only time I can see this being worn is to the gym. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value, unusually styled hooded sweatshirt with asymmetric hood and shoulder zip *by B***E on 8 January 2017* I was not familiar with the Mick Morrison brand before now but have been very happy with my first experience of their range on Amazon in the form of this black zip-shoulder hoody. It came up true to size for a medium - which is to say just a little snug in the chest for me as I'd usually take a large (42-44 chest generally fits me) - but a perfectly acceptable fit in terms of sleeve length, torso etc. The fabric is a poly-cotton blend that feels light and comfortable so would make a good warm-up top for the gym or just as a light layer for leisure use. I have run it through the laundry with no issues of dye leak or shrinkage.There are some design elements to note - polyester patches under the forearms and a strip along the lower back seem reminiscent of clothing designed for climbers and mountaineers but I think this is mere coincidence with them being there for style only. The shoulder zip is quite unusual and results in an asymmetric hood which you'll either like or find irritating! As there's a zip, there's no scope for a drawstring so the hood can't be drawn in close - it looks more like the hood on a boxer's dressing gown or similar.There's a small logo of M M with a diagonal cross running through it and the overall effect is of a modern understated style. I like it.I have a couple of reservations on the manufacture quality which, along with the lighter weight fabric, don't bode well for a very durable product. In particular the shoulder zip isn't of great quality and could snag. But the price is more than fair for this quality and the higher polyester content means it dries a lot quicker than a pure cotton sweatshirt so would make for a practical travel item when you may want to give it a quick wash or spot clean on the go. I'll be packing it for my next overnight flight as I can disappear into the hood for a good sleep!I'll be looking out for more from the Mick Morrison line. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good value for those who require a thin top layer on a budget *by V***2 on 31 December 2016* I obtained this sweatshirt for my 16 year old son, sized medium and her really likes it; priced at £15.95 as at 31st December, he has worn it several times since it arrived on Christmas Eve. We have washed it and I can confirm that it washed well, drying very quickly due to its 70% polyester composition and there was no shrinkage.The shirt itself is quite thin for a sweatshirt and I would suggest offers little warmth for older people, however, my son, who is hot on the coldest day, thinks it is ideal. We received a grey version, which looks quite nice with a logo on the left breast and a zip fastener from the right shoulder to the neck. To be honest, I don't feel that this style would suit me, but our son really liked the style and felt it represented good value. We tend to buy him clothes from stores such as Primark, primarily as he continues to grow at an alarming rate and therefore clothes become too small quite quickly and also they are more suited to younger people. May I suggest that this item is similar to goods purchased from Primark rather than Marks and Spencer and this is represented in the price.So why 4 stars? Well it certainly isn't a three star item. It is well made, albeit from thin material, but that is the reason why it isn't worth five stars.
