They are thicker then most bands. Maybe my thighs are far too superior but these things just fold under pressure. Got it in place, did one squat n it was like a thin rubber band that just disappeared into the meat of my thighs. I looked like a fat ham wrapped in string. The heavy strength ones held up a little better but still nothing to brag about.
