    Surprisingly clean cuts even in figured maple

It is very precisely crafted with super sharp edges. I have only used it for a single project so far but it worked marvelously. A highly figured maple vase, which was impossible to get clean cuts on the outside with a sharp gouge. I used the carbide scraper on the interior and although it did produce a small amount of tearout in places, it was no worse than sheer cutting with the gouge. It worked especially well tilted down for a negative angle scrape.
