It allows 4 users to communicate and has a build-in dual PJ-jack plug for GA extension. It provides great flexibility for both pilots and passengers to communicate efficiently in noisy environment. The rugged design ensures a robust communication in flight. This model of intercom supports dual power input. The power can be conveniently supplied by an independent 9-Volt battery or an external cigar lighter wire which connects to your aircraft. The AIC40P has an automatic turning-on system (Squelch) which turns on the intercom as soon as the pilot’s headset is used. This function is important for protecting your ears when you uses it under prolonged noise. AIC40P has an isolation feature which further separate the sounds between pilots and passengers so that the pilot can focus on listening to ATC. A PTT switch is equiped on the intercom for talking with ATC. An external PTT switch can also be purchased separately and adapted to this intercom. This intercom contains audio input and output jacks. The input jack allows you to supply the cockpit with music (iPod, MP3...) or mobile phone call. The output jack allows you to record radio talk, cockpit talks, tower clearances etc with a simple audio recorder and play them anytime through the headsets. Should have *by A***K on November 12, 2019* There is no manual, what is the toggle switch do if on pilot ? Or on radio ? Or intercom ? I know it sounds stupid but what does it do to the copilot side of on those options ? Do the passengers and pilot go mute and can’t communicate if I put it on radio or pilot...,.. no I don’t have three other folks to fly with me instantly to check it, for $ 220 those questions should be on a piece of paper.
