Review: Almost Perfect - and That's Good Enough - This light has some great plusses. Its few minuses, noted by other reviewers, don't even add up to one less star for me. The plusses: Lightweight enough - 2.9 oz. with batteries - that it doesn't unbalance my Kindle 3G even in one hand, or weigh down my travel bag. Bright enough for my aging vision. Even though the lights are close together, they illuminate the screen evenly enough for my fussy eyes. Can be pointed away from my spouse. Though I haven't used up any batteries, the measured drain of 26 ma on low or 50 ma on high should give roughly 15 hours of use on high, twice that on low. The minuses: The clamp isn't shaped to snug up to the tapered back of the Kindle 3G. This means you can make it teeter if you try. But I don't notice any problem in actual use. Glare spot: If the head is placed over the screen, then yes, there will be glare. It's necessary to place it off to one side, and then it's fine. The illumination is still fairly even, and this position allows for directing the light away from a sleeping spouse. Some people have complained about the light being too bright. Personally, I find the dim setting just a bit dim, and the high setting just right. YMMV. As a bonus, if the clamp is pulled apart it can be carefully slid onto a half inch wad of paperback pages, for those of us who still have the old-fashioned kind of books, the ones you can keep and give to a friend after you've read them. There's no glare problem on paper, so the light can be positioned to evenly illuminate even those larger paperbacks they upsize in order to charge a few extra bucks. Bottom line: I'm a happy puppy.
Review: Excellent light for eReader or Laptop - After owning the Mighty Bright LED light, the Verso Clip On light, and now the Belkin Clip On light, I can safely say that this light is the BEST of the bunch. While the 3 AAA batteries tend to be heavier than the slimmer CR2032 found in the Verso, Belkin has designed this light with them out of the way. I am using this light now to type this review in a dark room and the entire keyboard plus 8" to the sides are well lit. And this is on the low setting. Switching to the high setting the light is TREMENDOUS. White, bright, and no flicker whatsoever. As it uses AAA batteries, I expect the light to work for quite a while between battery replacement. I am glad I finally found a light that is exactly what I wanted. The clip on mechanism is well designed. It accepts a wide range of eReaders as it is expandable. There is also an attachment which I believe is for the Kindle 3. Haven't read the instructions yet). Yes, I am a guy and we do those things. Buy this light. You will not be disappointed. The three (3) LED's throw off bright, white light. I'll probably buy another one, maybe two, to have around the house. It works great on my Macbook and my Sony PRS-950. PS. If you want my Verso, let me know. UPDATE: I put new batteries in the Verso (CR2032) and switched between the two lights. The Verso light has already dimmed, while the Belkin is still going strong (on the high setting I may add). Nothing wrong with the Verso. Just that the flat CR2032 batteries don't hold much juice. But they are cheap on desertcart, so I will use it to light up my laptop keyboard.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful light, but not for K3 without a cover
*by H***H on September 28, 2011*

The light is excellent, bright and uniform, and the gooseneck easily adjusts. However, the provided clip adapter for the Kindle 3 is a near miss; it fits poorly, and the clip covers the rubber surfaces that would otherwise provide traction. The result is a loose and unstable fit that easily falls off and/or requires constant fiddling and repositioning. I imagine this would work better over a Kindle cover, without the clip; I do not use use a cover and so cannot comment on that. Note however that the clip installs with an adhesive, so switching back and forth is not a realistic option. I have returned this item -- as always, Amazon returns are effortless -- and ordered the "Verso Clip-On Reading Light for Kindle", which I expect will be a better choice for me.
