The K780A mic was an upgrade from my previous FIFINE T669 mic and even though the T669 wasn't faulty in any way, the K780A showed improved quality in bass, clarity, and compatibility; not to mention it does very well to capture your spoken dialogue but will fade out more ambient noise such as keyboard typing. Review: Great budget microphone set-up! Complete beginner streaming set-up - This product came in one box with cushion between each item, very carefully padded. It included a shockmount, the microphone itself, boom arm, C-clamp, windscreen, cable, instruction manual, and pop filter. It was super easy to put together, just follow the instructions (with visuals) provided. You put the C-clamp on your table and tighten it, then place the bottom of the mic arm inside it, then twist on the shockmount and open it up to place the microphone in it. Altogether, it took about 5-8 minutes to get it up and going. Just plug the USB in your PC and get started. No software required. Sound quality wise: I did not test with music since that's not what I use microphones for. I use my microphones primarily for making YouTube videos or streaming on Twitch. I currently have a Blue Yeti with Blue Shockmount and a Rode Microphone Arm (altogether maybe $300). It catches a lot of sound everywhere. Comparatively, the Fifine 780A is the same set-up (albeit not as high quality in sound) and works perfectly for streaming or video creation. The sound is great! There are a few downsides, such as not having a gain/volume scroll wheel or a mute button to conveniently mute the microphone. Sometimes, one of the strings on the shockmount will fall out of place, but that's super easy to put back in like 1 second. You do not need a super fancy set-up to start, but you do need decent audio quality and this package does it all. Also, I started with a Blue Snowball, which is more expensive than this entire thing and inconveniently sits on my table, gets in the way of my keyboard and mouse, and it doesn't even stay in place... This product is a great deal. The reason I gave the sound quality 4 stars is because it does have distortion to my voice and other sounds as I speak into it compared to my other microphones (Blue Yeti, Blue Snowball, and HyperX Cloud II headset microphone). I was considering a Rode, but after careful reviews on youtube from both, I could not honestly say there was no distinguishable sound quality differences. This is an example of why pay more for the same quality? Brand names are not always better! I learned that with action cameras. GoPro is a very pricy little toy that you could easily match or surpass in quality with models costing over half as less! I think this is exactly the case here with FiFine and Rode. But do be careful with noname brands! Do your own research like I did! There are microphones even cheaper than this one, but you won't find as many rave reviews for them like this one. I really was sitting on the fence on this one despite all the rave reviews, because you have to take in consideration that each reviewer may have, bad hearing, lack of knowledge what to expect, or even personal preference over two products that may be very close in quality. Finally went to the cart where I put the FiFine weeks ago. There was a price increase. Don't you wish items in cart were immune to price increases lol. But it was much of a increase and even at $15 more it was still the best buy imho. I'm glad I got the kit that included the boom! Works out even better for me. I'm loving it and the microphone. Not a single shred of buyers remorse! The only CON I encountered was the USB fits a little loosely on the back of the microphone causing a break in audio. Now this is a small issue I can fix, but it is a con. I've never been a fan of USB mikes anyways. XLR all the way! Even these days they still are better. Good luck finding a decent new one in this price range. But again, a very small matter in the bigger scheme of things of getting the best possible quality at a decent price. I've uploaded a video I took with this microphone and my Canon M50 which I also love! If you got the bucks to throw away so you have a big name on your mike, get the Rode.
