When I was recently commissioned for a portrait I tried to find portrait canvas and finally settled for something other than Fredrix. I was so disappointed, it was so rough. So when I was commissioned to do another portrait I couldn't find the Fredrix labeled portrait canvas like I use to get so I took a chance on the ultra smooth. It wasn't quite as smooth as I wanted but the best canvas I've been able to find. There were no bumps on the canvas and it was pulled tight. I did add another layer of gesso for a bit of added smoothness. Anyway I’m happy with my purchase. Arrived safe and clean!
