Good sunshade. *by A***. on Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2015* Most of the reviews with heartburn seem to be because this sunshade is silver. Trust me, I did a lot of research looking for a black one and they just aren't to be found. Nikon no longer making them in black anymore? Anyway, I took the time to paint mine, it wasn't a problem. The only thing odd about it was with a Prostaff 3 40mm BDC, while it screwed in perfectly, its' outside diameter is slightly greater than the objectives outside diameter so there's a bit of a lip all around the objective/sunshade join. No big deal for me and perhaps it's exactly a matching diameter when used with Monarchs or Buckmasters.
