I used double sided tape. Make sure your cane fits the opening. If it works, it’s a real convience. **Q: Will it work on a bike? I can bike fine, walking not always so much, and I'd like to attach my folding cane to the frame.** A: I don't have a bike to try it, but it looks to me that the arm where I attached mine to the walker is about the same size and shape as the handlebar on a bicycle. I'm just now sure where you could put it on the handle bar that it would not interfere with balance or steering. It must be attached to a round bar (I have other oblong bars on my walker where it would have been more convenient, but it just wouldn't work). The pincher fork of the reacher rests on the front cross bar, and the shaft fits in the cane clamp. Being slimmer than a cane, it was a bit loose, so I wrapped the reacher with some adhesive backed Velcro, and put its mate inside the clamp. This is very secure and yet easy to remove when I need it. I have an extra clamp for something else if I need it. (Yes, I put a remote-controlled light fixture on the front on my walker, too!) πŸ˜†. The clamps are soft but stable rubber material so they will not damage either a walker or whatever you need to put in your cane holder. They are well made, easy to use and highly satisfactory!
