Cotton or polyester?** A: Good question….it has both…..Press on ‘special feature’ where product is described and it tells you. However…. it is not ‘ polyestery ‘ it’s velvety/micro fleecy….otherwise i wouldn’t be able to use it either… **Q: What is the true weight? And do you overheat?** A: I don’t know the true weight but it is really ‘sturdy’ compared to the cheaper brands I have tried in the past! Haven’t had any overheating problems either! Have been using it for around 6months now for a bad back and nerve damage! Back to sleeping through the night! :) **Q: Would this be suitable to stop an elderly person leaning sideways** A: I suggest you ask an occupational therapist to be absolutely sure your elderly person is completely safe…cushion is squishy and big and might be a danger rather than a help….when you’re nested in it, it’s difficult to get back out of it …for example….I use it to sit on a settee with an ottoman for my feet up, it goes round my back and crosses underneath the back of my knees it keeps me sitting up right, otherwise I to lean to the left… I have extra cushion behind my head because it only supports lower back and legs. I’ve had it ages now it needs a bit more stuffing but still wouldn’t be without it. I could also not sleep for more than a couple of hours before pain woke me up. As a result I bought a really good mattress and bed, also memory foam topper etc, as a result I actually sleep in the clouds my bed is that thick. But I move around a lot in my sleep, that's when I thought this might be helpful, i sleep in the middle of it obviously, it recommends this, I put one side under my back to prevent me from rolling and the other side gets tucked in at the front. Best thing ever, it supports my back, it prevents my ribs from getting sore when I sleep. I've had a much better sleep since Sandra came into my life. Yes I named it lol. It hasn't went out of shape or anything and I've had it a while now. It's easy to clean but most of all it's soft yet firm enough to keep me from rolling to an uncomfortable position. I just passed out asleep , and was in the same position when I awoke . Honestly, I am in love with this pillow. I can’t wait to climb into its arms tonight . I did not disturb my partner last night, and he did not disturb me . He slept in two hours later than usual . And I slept soundly.
