Now I have two 4 watt in place but not screwed in fully and one 2 watt on all the time. If I want more light, I screw the other two in fully. The bases are "candelabra" size ,about 0.4" so they don't fit a "typical lamp socket (Edison base) . These are " torpedo" shaped, which I prefer more than the "flame" pointy top. In addition to hardly using any electricity, they have the added bonus of generating very little heat compared to other bulbs.
