It doesn't say that anywhere and I am just double checking.** A: Yes, the power cord plugs into a standard 115v AC outlet. Also, be aware that there is no 12v circuit protection of any kind on this unit (it doesn't mention that either). The DC terminals are VERY close together, so be careful. **Q: Is it regulated? Would you trust this PS with a $1000 radio?** A: It says “regulated” at least four times throughout the description. And while the question was asked in 2015 I would be pretty sure it said regulated in 2015. I’ve had a12 amp version of this brand prior to 2015 and “regulated” is printed on the back of mine so I’m sure that they have been using the wording for many years. People need to learn to read. I’m going to buy this one, 30 amp continuous, for use with my three ham radios. In another question someone tried to claim it was 20 amps continuous, they should stop talking about something that they know nothing about. My current one is 12 amps continuous with a peak of 14 amps. Therefore since this unit is being sold as 30 amps continuous that is what it is with its peak being a few amps over 30 amps. I’ve never had an issue with my current one and I’m sure that this one will do just fine without any problems. **Q: i have a 12v wentch witch is hooked up to my car battery. will this unit supply max 20amps to power the wentch** A: That makes absolutely no sense. If you have a 12 volt winch hooked up to a car battery, why do you need a power supply to power the winch? You do realize that this converts 110 household current down to 13.8 volts, right? **Q: could this power a 250w car amplifier for a 10" sub?** A: The power supply is rated for 30 A, although it is not clear if this is continuous. I have tested the power supply drawing more than 20 A continuous, and it handled it fine. A 250 W rated car amplifier will not draw 250 W continuous (or ~20 A continuous). This is the second PSV-300 in my ham shack and a reliable accessory on my bench. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for Mobile HAM Radios *by J***P on June 6, 2020* Rated at 13.8, but when tested it gives 13.9-14, using this to power a mobile quad band HAM radio as a base station and it is approx 2 feet away from the radio and I get no noise from this power supply. I used my HT while on a HAM net to test and with the antenna right on the power supply got no interference from it. I tried other power supplies, but this one was the best. My radio can go up to 50W and the power supply handles it like a champ. I would def recommend this power supply to others. When powered on it is silent, when I turn on my radio I hear the fan turn on, but still pretty silent, when I tested that it could handle all the power settings on my radio the fan would start to run faster as I pulled more power, but even at max it is still pretty quiet. You can hear the fan, but it is not overly noisy. When used for an hour straight the case was still cool and the radio was a little warm.
