Building a hangar and landing strip also. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Informative & Easy to Read *by C***R on May 12, 2015* I have recently begun flight training for my Private Pilot's license. I made the decision to self-study for the FAA Knowledge Test (AKA - the written) and to take the test before beginning my actual flight lessons. The Student Pilot's Flight Manual was one of my primary sources of reading and study material during my test preparation. I took the test in April of 2015 and scored 90%. The material is generally well-presented, and the reading flows well with occasional jokes and anecdotes to support the learning. I found the text approachable, easy to understand, broad enough to introduce all areas contained on the knowledge test, and detailed enough to cover most of the material on the knowledge test. Therefore, this is a decent introduction and study book, but it is not sufficient by itself to prepare you for the exam - in my opinion. I also used, and highly recommend, supplementing this book with other reference material. But I am happy I purchased this book, and found it informative from cover to cover.
