Waterproof seal - the latch doesn't pull down tight, but it doesn't come ajar easily and it does seal the case well; survived several waterproofing tests including soaking in the sink and sitting in the dishwasher though all cycles. 3. Plenty of room for all the items I placed in it. 4. Ring could be a little more solid, but it works 5. The case was completely water tight, and held up well to abuse. I kept the case in my back pocket and used the lanyard that it came with to attach it to my shorts so we wouldn't be separated. The case was bumped and smashed over rocks over the course of a few hours of light rapids and is no worse for wear. Not a drop of water got in.
