Your 120 volt line will come into the box and likely out again through the same opening to the next light/box. Use a 1/2" Romex strain fitting (bought separately) and wire nuts (likely yellow when joining two Romex wires and the stranded 16 gauge to light) to make your connections. The black box has two chambers, one with the electronics to convert the voltage for the DC LED light, and the other for your Romex connection. Two 16 gauge stranded wires (white and black) come from the electronics side to the Romex side for you to make your connections. The box then sits up on the sheet-rock or rafter and the really nice low voltage connector cable goes to the light. Very nice connection, water tight, but just line it up correctly. Super happy, and I can't recommend these enough, especially compared to the big box stores. Fantastic value. Been in for a month or so with no issues. Unlike most dimming LED's, these dim without any flicker. They are low profile so I was even able to install them directly underneath a few ceiling joists ( was able to do a symmetrical layout because of this feature). Amazing! don't hesitate to pull the trigger on these lights.1.5 year update: I installed 12 of these lights and after about 1.5 years, they’re still performing flawlessly with no failures. I did install 10 in a friends house about a year ago and they had 2 failures of the box/drivers. The manufacture sent out new warranty replacements quickly, and all is good.
