### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Most useful of the books we took.

Of the several books we took on a recent road trip to Germany, this proved the most useful. It was our first road trip in Bavaria and as 'virgin' tourists to the area, we used this book to choose our itinerary. Using its suggestions for the highlights of the region, we spent 3 very enjoyable and informative weeks driving from Frankfurt to places including Nuremberg, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Regensburg, the Ludwig Castle area and Berchtesgaden. The sight seeing, hotel, and restaurant suggestions were "right on" and we had a perfect "5 star" trip!

Traveled all over Germany, including Frankfurt, Berlin, Dresden, Wurzburg, Munich. The book was fine, not great. It left out a number of things we were interested in, but gave us enough info to get around fine and see everything. Just woulda liked more details about cool stuff and things to do.Probably best as a pre-Germany guide to decide generally on what to do - then research further more specifics somewhere else

Great book so far. Very informative and look forward to trying it out when I visit Germany this coming summer. Although I was disappointed that it did not have any information on the biggest heavy metal festival, now in its 25th year, WACKEN OPEN AIR! This is held north of Hamburg and there was no mention that I could find in here, for a festival that gets about 100,000 people per year, I would think that would garner some attention.
