## Description

The crossbow string is made of polyester and also comes with 2 end caps (tips) for the bow. To extend the life of your string, first, never "dry fire" your crossbow, and second, please wax the string regularly. Always have an arrow loaded when you shoot. Repeated dry firing will quickly wear out your crossbow string. For the proper maintenance of your crossbow, just apply some bow string wax to the exposed string, not to the serving, on the crossbow and take your thumb and index finger and work the wax into string. As you work the wax in, you’ll notice it getting softer as the heat from your hand causes it to melt. Never use a frayed string as it may break when you are cocking your bow. Damage to the crossbow and/or injury to the user could occur. If string becomes frayed, immediately replace with a new string. Even under proper use, your crossbow string will eventually need replacing. Keep spares available for replacement. Replace a worn out crossbow string with this performance string. Keep your crossbow in proper working order for maximum performance and safe operation .It is smart to keep a spare string. Retain its proper specification for performance and safety.

This crossbow has just the amount of power (80lbs) to put a bolt into a tree at a good distance. There is only one item that did not work well and that is the arrows (bolts). Every arrow that I shot into a tree the tail fins would break off. My suggestion would be to buy a more expensive arrow for the 80 pound bow if you don't want to be constantly ordering the cheaper arrows.

**Q: what is it you're selling?  This listing has really bad descriptive info and only 1 picture.  The title includes THREE items. What are you selling?**
A: This is simply a bow string for an 80 lb mini crossbow prod. If I remember correctly it included two limb tips made of black plastic.

**Q: what is the diffrence between the 50 and the 80 lb strings is it the length , strength or thickiness ?**
A: The 80 will have more strands than the 50 so the 80 will be thicker and stronger. The number refers to the poundage of the bow so the string can withstand well over 80 pounds.

**Q: Does it come waxed?**
A: No they are not waxed. Most if not all strings sold are not . That is why they sell string wax , to make every last dime they can make.

**Q: Can i use it for any cross bow**
A: This can be used on 80lb rated cobra crossbow pistols or any clones.  Could not use on full size crossbows.

This crossbow is a good starter bow for someone who has never used one. Many years ago I was into Archery and enjoyed it very much. This crossbow has just the amount of power (80lbs) to put a bolt into a tree at a good distance. There is only one item that did not work well and that is the arrows (bolts). Every arrow that I shot into a tree the tail fins would break off. My suggestion would be to buy a more expensive arrow for the 80 pound bow if you don't want to be constantly ordering the cheaper arrows.

For the record at this price you cannot expect a lifetimes use out of it as it frays quickly but then again at this price you can buy a new one on a regular basis. It lost a star due to it starting to fray after the first use but it is cheap and more powerful than the original 50# string that came with the crossbow so I will still give it 4 stars and order more as I need to and just keep a spare on hand. To be fair I think the action on the bow itself lends to the fraying so I would still gladly recommend this to anyone with a pistol type crossbow - just remember to order a spare.
