Do they erase or just fall apart?** A: I did not use the eraser and no longer have the pencils in my possession but it looked like a good eraser and the pencils come pre-sharpened which is why I like them. **Q: Are they made in the USA???** A: I'm not sure on that. I bought a box last year and the box lasted about 3/4 of the year. These are pre-sharpened (such a time saver) and they re-sharpen well too. I am usually a Ticonderoga pencil fan, but I tried these after going through several bad boxes of Ticonderogas, and I have been won over.
