These shoes in black patent are used daily. They are comfortable, supportive, very durable and attractive enough to wear to high level meetings. They take me from garages to labs safely because the heel is low rather than flat and the whole foot is covered. Still they work with my high instep. The sole offers enough impact absorption to keep me comfortable on cement floors. On the other hand, the high gloss and slight wedge are perfect for boardroom meetings.Polished, professional and still comfortable. I am on my feet 10-12 hrs for work, at times standing in one place for most of those hours. So I needed a shoe that was fashionable to complete my business attire wardrobe. Mizuno sneakers feel amazing but not the right look for my suits (smile). I immediately liked the shiny dressy look of the ECCO slip-on. The comfort I felt the 1st day and into the 7th day was just what I was looking for. I really wanted to give the shoe a 5 star rating, however the only flaw in my opinion is that the shoe gaps near the instep of shoe with walking. Yet the shoe still feels securely supportive to my foot. And so far 8 days into wearing them no alteration in material where it bends into a gap. Leather soft enough to keep its shape.The shoe runs slightly large I wear 8-8.5 bought that size and still the gapping issue (very minor though). I don't think a size down would not fit well. I like them enough to buy another pair but I will most likely buy the "tie-up" version and give them a try to address the gapping.
