This size (#4) is perfect for the larger pills, which do sometimes need to be cut in half to fit in the size 4 caps. (Before cutting pills in half, make sure you check with your vet first.) However, I feel comfortable giving this size pill to my cats as it's not too large. (I also coat them in butter to keep them from getting stuck in their throat.) I would also not hesitate to use these for myself if the need arose. They are easy to use.
