Lots of compartments, the interior has a main compartment large enough to hold a 13" MacBook and several other items. You can use it with the included adjustable shoulder strap or carry like a briefcase. There are also several other attachment points using the molly system, where this bag can be attached to another larger bag or smaller pouches could be attached to this one. The handles _DO NOT_ go around the circumference of the bag i.e., they do _NOT_ go around the bottom of the bag. The handle seams are finished (on the inside of the bag) BUT THEY ARE_NOT_REINFORCED so they _WILL RIP OUT_ if you load more in the bag than what I've mentioned above.I ended up sending it back for a refund.
