Whether your a beginner, intermediate,, or an absolute advance drummer, these books should be a must for every drummer. There are tons of great and sick groves. You got rock groves, jazz groves, shuffle groves, latin groves such as salsa, bossa nova, samba, cha-cha, you got reggae, and funk. Great books for a great price. He kind of turned his nose up at it UNTIL he went to his professional lessions and his coach had all the posters in his studio! Our son asked about it, and his coach told him yep, this was THE ONE GUY/THE ONE resource to buy if you're going to get one! LOL Who says "father knows best"? I looked for MONTHS! And when he came home from lessons he was pretty stoked - so I had my chance to tell him how much time I'd spent listening to different drummers on youtube and reading different reviews on Amazon, and this was the only one I'd even consider! And he gave me a big hug and said, "Thanks mom!" Then last week he started working with another professional drum teacher - someone he's wanted to work with ever since his jazz concert - where this guy filled in for one of the other bands, and GEEZE he was amazing! And he also had the Tommy Igoe materials! LOL and once again my son came home and told me and I got another hug! Wonder if he'll trust me from now on?! Naw!
