I just swallow the pill whole and can't comment on the whole versus chewing them debate. Suppose there might be some merit in chewing them to help absorption. I do feel it gives me a little perk and pick-me up. I take two pills in the morning around 6:45AM and one pill in the afternoon, around 2:00PM. As others, I crunch the pills up before I swallow them. They are nasty when you bite into them. The ingredients are wholesome. I showed the product to my endocrinologist, and she oked it. I am taking DSF because I get up sleepy and tired every day, and I feel like this all day: It is a run down feeling; mentally and physically. Not to mention, the 20lbs I've gained. I take DSF with my prescribed medication. I have hypothyroidism, and I am presently taking 75mcgs of Synthroid and 10mcgs of Liothyronine. My endocrinologist still can not hit the right dosage or the right medication yet.
