Fairly hard, though it comes with a "cheat sheet" for those who want to skip the frustration. Only downside to the puzzle that I can tell is the pieces are all a sort of hard cardboard (or paperboard). Suggest spraying lightly with puzzle adhesive once complete, and a water-proofer spray to cover that afterwards if piece is to be used as a display near possible liquid spills. Putting something together in three dimensions is a LOT more difficult, and even with a cheat sheet this puzzle can be frustrating. But the end result looks very cool and is worth it... provided you're careful with the end result.This puzzle consists of a bust of Darth Vader, cut horizontally into hundreds of slices that you have to punch out, assemble, and slide onto a central pole. It's a challenge, but a rewarding one, and the end result is a great display piece. My only problem with it is that if that central pole snaps (and it happened with me when I brought the puzzle into another room to show it off), everything scatters and you have to start all over.
