Review: Great shin guards! - These Fairtex SP5 shin guards offer excellent protection while still feeling lightweight and comfortable. The padding is thick enough to absorb hard kicks, and the curved design fits the leg naturally without shifting during training. The straps secure everything firmly, and the overall build feels durable and high quality. They look clean, fit well, and provide great coverage perfect for Muay Thai or kickboxing sessions.
Review: Fairtex big flex - Fairtex is known for its quality and standards. These are no different! Great quality right out of the bag. Feels good fits good. I ordered medium which goes up to 5’10” instead of Large which starts at 5’10” I like them to be a big more snug as I don’t have overly large legs. If you are long legged I may go with large but these fit me great. One thing I loved right away is that the Velcro straps THROUGH the shiny guard. Many are elastic which tend to slide around more on your legs and you find yourself adjusting them regularly. These hold on tight. They are nice and thick padding for protection but don’t feel overly bulky on your legs so you still have great movement. These are definitely worth every penny!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What size should I get 5’10 200lbs?**
A: Being 6 ft 2 in, I grabbed XL based on the size chart from fairtex. Large may work for you, but if possible try both sizes on if you’re in an area that has a lot of martial arts schools or stores. The weight metric isn’t the be all end all for these or other fairtex products but more the height metric. Measure from toe to knee and compare to the dimensions from their chart and decide. I think either L or XL would be solid choices

**Q: I'm 6'1 180lbs will the xl be my size?**
A: Yes, I'm 5'10 215 they should fit u perfect

**Q: Im 5'7, 5'8 at 150. Should i buy med or small? Thanks**
A: If you're at 5'7" - 5'8" height, you should be getting the SP5 shin guards in medium

**Q: If i'm 5'11" and approx 145pds, what size would anyone here recommend? what you suggest "large"? thanks**
A: I'm 5'10" 200lbs and I bought large and they fit great

*by B***S on February 15, 2026*

The SP5 shin guards are very well made. The padding is thick and offers great protection during heavy sparring, but they're still lightweight and comfortable. They stay in place and don't slide around during kicks, which I really appreciate.
