The Orbit 57281 Female Pipe Threaded Auto Inline Sprinkler Valve is a 1-inch, fail-safe irrigation valve designed for outdoor cold water use. Featuring a 24V solenoid compatible with all major controllers, it offers glue-less assembly with Orbit’s valve manifold system and a soft-close design to prevent water hammer. Made in the USA with global parts, it ensures reliable, clog-free operation and easy servicing with captured lid screws.

## Description

Automatic inline valves are the most common valve in today’s irrigation systems. The L-Series incorporates the very latest technology in inline valve design. It features a 24 VAC solenoid, manual actuation with a quarter twist of the solenoid, and is available in flow control versions. The L-Series valve is the current standard valve in the heavy-duty preassembled valve manifold. An internal scrubber filter helps keep the valve clog-free. Four captured screws in the lid allow for easy servicing. The threads are 3/4-in. or 1-in. female pipe thread (FPT) and are compatible with Schedule 40 and 80 PVC fittings as well as the heavy-duty preassembled valve manifold and fittings. The L-Series solenoid features nickel-plated copper wire and is compatible with all major brands of 24 VAC irrigation controllers. We recommend B-hyve controllers for optimum water conservation and PVC-Lock fittings for fast, glue-free installation. For outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.

**Q: What is the replacement part number for the solenoid valve?**
A: The latching DC solenoid for use w/ the battery-powered timer is 57861.
Note that the thread sizes on this are slightly smaller than those on my AC solenoids, although they are often shipped w/ an adapter. (but not always)

**Q: Which adapter will allow me to connect 5/8" black irrigation tubing to both sides please?**
A: Go to Home Depot or Lowe’s.  They can help you.

**Q: Necesito una valvula que siempre este abierta y otra que siempre este cerrada esta valvula puede servir para las dos ocasiones**
A: Saludos , esa valvula está normalmente cerrada y cuando le aplicas voltaje abre ,pero para tener una normalmente abierta Nesesitaria mantenerla energizada y cuando desees cerrarla le interrumpe la energía

**Q: Can i buy selonid separately?**
A: yes these are pretty common and you can take your old one to home depot and find a replacement
