You need to know that I am an automotive and diesel mechanic and I almost never take this watch off. I shower with it, sleep with it and work with it every day of my life. I only take it off to charge it, when training jiu jitsu and when my arm has to fit in the tightest spots of an engine. The screen protector had very minimal scratches after 1.5 years but today was a true test. My arm got caught under the corner of a large furnace at work and I thought it crushed my watch and worse, cracked my screen. I was sure that the screen was cracked. When I got home from work, I carefully pulled off the cracked screen protector only to find that my Garmin Instinct s reen was as good as new. I installed the 2nd provided screen protector and just bought another kit to keep, just in case. Also, the small rubber plugs which are includedfor the charging port fit perfectly. I only use them when going to the beach in the summer, to keep sand out.
