It can be used as a standalone IR Repeater as it is presented here, then when your systems require, you can add available Receiver/Transmitter units and build a network of units that can control the IR signals to multiple devices from many locations. With this kit you can control two devices behind closed doors using the two included cables. You would mount the single unit near or on the back your TV by plugging the unit into a USB port on the TV or using the included USB extender cable to use a different USB port, then attach the IR Receiver to your TV bezel. Then, run the 2 head Emitter Cable to the devices you want to control. You can extend the distance of the Emitter cable by adding a standard 3.5 mm stereo M/F Extender cable. Be sure to locate the Emitter Heads precisely over the IR sensor on each device you want to control.
