I will be returning it and ordering from Microsoft directly instead. **Q: is it actually and 8th gen or not?** A: 8th Gen, scroll up to technical details and google it, "Item model number PGU-00001". If the seller sends you a 7th gen, promptly return it and file a complaint with amazon. Ideally the title should read "Microsoft Surface Book 2 13.5" (Intel i5 (8th Gen), 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, Win 10 Pro) PGU-00001" BUT it's hard to get anything corrected in a bureaucracy. **Q: Does it really come with 256gb of ram? (major error in description)** A: 8GB RAM **Q: Is this a Surface Book or a Surface Book 2? The title doesn't have a 2, but the description does and the price point is definitely more fitting for 2.** A: I received a Surface Book, not a Surface Book 2. I had expected a Surface Book based on the product details stating that it was a Surface Book 2 and the product photo clearly depicting a 2. Needless to say, I am trying to return it now. I bought from LinkSolo, so I wouldn't trust them. I did lot of research and found that the technology and hardware Microsoft put in to come up with this product is still unbeatable and even today.
