Review: Not just for beginners! - I've used Onix Z-5 and PaddleTek paddles, they're good and somewhat expensive. I wanted to try a paddle with a bit more mass, and an aluminum /composite core so I got the Pickel Pro. I immediately noticed two things: first this paddle is heavy, ~9oz., and secondly, it has a slightly smaller 'sweet spot' when compared to the paddles mentioned above. So what's good about this paddle? - the added mass means one can impart greater velocity on the ball. The surface of the paddle is 'more dead' than the other paddles I mentioned: for me this is an advantage. Even short, milliseconds, longer time the ball makes contact with the paddle translates into greater velocity (v = acceleration*time) and slightly better control. As other reviewers have noted, the dull 'thud' made by contact of this paddle with the ball is different from typical graphite or composite paddles. I'm not a very good pickleball player; I tend to use 'tennis' type strokes, so for me the Pickle Pro is my current paddle of choice. I find I can make better passing shots and overheads with this paddle than with others. My pickelball compatriots tell me that a heavy paddle is translates into elbow/shoulder problems. I have not used his paddle very long, but so far I have not noticed any difficulties. The paddle is touted as one, "for beginners," but I beg to differ. The extra mass means one bang the ball with authority, and the slower surface means more control for dinks and lobs. Also the smaller sweet spot is not a help to beginners, but it is of little consequence to experienced players. The paddle seems to be well made, I'll update this review in 6 months or so...
Review: a good paddle - Only complaint I have is I thought the handle was going to be a little more longer. But I'm getting used to it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ good buy

Prompt delivery good product, MEDIUM WEIGHT, GOOD PERFORMANCE Not as light as the more expensive paddles but much less costly. Hopefully Pickelball players will spread the game.
