I usually apply this with the little make up sponge which accompanies many compacts. If it's in the wash, I use my fingers instead. I read a positive review of this brush and decided to give it a try as my sponges have seen better days. To my surprise, the powder went on much more easily and looked more natural. I only use liquid foundation a handful of times a year if I'm looking blotchy (usually when tired or stressed) as I've never put in the time to learn how to use makeup properly. I'm well into my fifties so it's unlikely that I'll ever become very interested in makeup but I like to look healthy and as if I've made some effort so, the next time I try liquid foundation, I'll try using this brush. Update - I was concerned to receive an email from the supplier suggesting I write a review and get a coupon for money off another product. This feels like bribery so I have knocked two stars off my original five star review. I had reservations about applying my liquid foundation with a brush after 30 years of using my fingers, but I needn't have. I've recently been having issues with (what I thought was) uneven skin tone, and several foundations later, it was still uneven. After trying this brush, I realised that it was my method of application that was the problem all along! This brush really does give a flawless photo-finish, I wish I'd discovered it sooner! Good quality and comes in a little tube to protect the bristles and maintain the shape. Easy to wash and dry, and it hasn't shed any hairs, and I use it daily.
