The cord is decent length, but wished it was longer so it has a higher vantage point so the light can cover more ground. If you have an external battery you can just place it higher, but if you plan to place the light on your laptop it does not do much.It does not light up as bright as displayed in the stock photo in the ad (one in the car). I've included my own pictures for reference.It is mosquito repellent, but note that if you have other light sources around they may still be present. Unless you're out camping, I'd just recommend you using mosquito spray repellent to get rid of themWorks great as a night light for kids with additional of a external battery (not included), as this product does not produce it's own powerThe light does have a two light settings, but does not differ much, if anything you'll be losing/gaining a half inch to and inch of reading real estateSeeing that there's an USB powered you can find other creative ways of using it such as placing it in your car usb port adapter for extra light just in case you want to see better underneath your seats if the overhead lights on your car isn't bright enough.And as a heads up: if you plan to leave it plugged in your laptop, make sure you unplug it before bed because if you plan to turn on your laptop in the morning it will auto turn on with the computer and have a blinding light effect in your eyeThere is an included lighting port for users of Apple products.
