This little guy solved the problem in a very space efficient manner. I bought some sandwich bags to use with it and have been enjoying toasted sandwiches when I might have made less healthy grilled cheese instead. I just plain do not have the counter space for a regular toaster. And who needs it with this??? I hesitated to buy it because of the price but I cannot say how happy I am with the purchase! Yes, it makes one slice of regular toast at a time but does both sides of that slice as compared to the toaster oven which took forever and I tended to forget about at least one of the sides while cooking. I did not realize how much I missed the simple luxury of toast! It requires a very large burner and a long time to make toast compared to other toasters we have. A full sized cast iron skillet is actually faster and does a better job.
