In Aruba Instant mode, a single AP automatically distributes the network configuration to other Instant APs in the WLAN. ## Features - 2.4-GHz (300 Mbps max rate) and 5-GHz (867 Mbps) - 2 x 2 MIMO and four integrated omnidirectional downtilt antenna - 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) - Powered Over Ethernet ( PoE ) ( No power adapter included / power adapter sold separately ) - Virtual Controller Technology ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00QUER9UY | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,366 in Computer Networking Wireless Access Points | | Brand | Aruba | | Customer Reviews | 3.8 out of 5 stars 33 Reviews | | Data Link Protocol | Ethernet | | Data Transfer Rate | 1000 megabits_per_second | | External Testing Certification | FCC\nCE\nR&TTE 1995/5/EC\nLow Voltage 72/23/EEC\nEN 300 328\nEN 301 489\nEN 301 893\nUL/IEC/EN 60950\nEN 60601-1-1, EN 60601-1-2 | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00190017021140 | | Hardware Interface | Ethernet | | Item Weight | 380 g | | Manufacturer | Aruba | | Mfr Part Number | IAP-205-US | | Model Number | IAP-205-US | | Number of Items | 1 | | UPC | 190017021140 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** HP - **Data Link Protocol:** Ethernet - **Data Transfer Rate:** 1000 megabits_per_second - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00190017021140 - **Hardware Interface:** Ethernet - **Item Weight:** 380 g - **Manufacturer:** Aruba - **Number of Items:** 1 - **UPC:** 190017021140 - **Unit Count:** 1 Count ## Images ![IAP-205-US Wireless Network Access Point 802.11ac (Instant Model) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51kaR-54acL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Do i need an aruba controller to run these, planning on operating 4 or 5** A: No. The IAP or Instant Access Point series do not need a controller. The first access point acts as the "so-called" controller. If you have any additional questions, please give us a call at 877-449-0458. - Thanks - Corporate Armor. **Q: Is JW213A the actual part number for this? IAP-205-US is just a description** A: Chris I beleive JW213A is correct, however there are ZERO markings on the aruba other than "aruba networks" and PWR ENET 5GHz & 2.5GHz indicator light labels. The rear has a 12v 1.5A power inlet, a console port, a security lock point, and a ENET 56V 350mA port. Hope that helps. **Q: what PoE injector is recommended for this unit?** A: We're using a TP-LINK TL-PoE150S PoE Injector without any troubles. I did notice recently that Aruba makes a POE injector; part number PD-3501G-AC. Also Upbright makes a power adapters for the Aruba APs. **Q: is this unit POE?** A: This is a PoE Powered device; however, the AC adapter or PoE injector are sold separately. If you have any questions or need more information, please give us a call.
