This helps greatly in heat transfer and helps to transfer solder when soldering. You, on the other hand, probably don't care for the tin. Tip tinner is a total game changer when it comes to soldering. I was struggling figuring out how to re-solder some mouse switches onto a PCB and kept having issues getting the solder to transfer to the pad properly. It also took a century to heat up the pad. I watched a few videos on soldering and this was suggested in one of the videos. I thought hey it's cheap why not give it a try and MAN DOES THIS STUFF WORK! It almost instantly helped the pad take heat from the iron and gave me a perfect solder with flux on the first try, and I am not even good at soldering. It was so much easier to use than trying to finagle the solder wire onto the tip and having it drip or splash everywhere. I originally thought I fried a PCB trying to transfer heat for too long onto the pad and this makes it a 1 second operation.
