He said it is high in fiber and is much better than anything else out there, including stevia. He also advised my husband to stay away from regular sugar as much as possible because of inflammation. So we have stopped most sugar products. Surprisingly, it hasn't been hard. My sleep problems have mostly disappeared since I stopped regular sugar. I sleep through the night without waking up and losing sleep. Using Just Like Sugar in place of other sweeteners has been relatively easy. I ordered the regular sugar bulk and the packets (which are very useful for travel and going out to restaurants). When I order coffee, I just slip in two packets (instead of two teaspoons of regular sugar) and enjoy my coffee. I now will order the other Just Like Sugar products (brown sugar, baking sugar, etc). I'd like to try making cookies and cakes. When I made my own jam, I used regular Just Like Sugar and made a very tasty blueberry jam as well as strawberry jam. I use it on my yogurt, and my cereal. For me, it is a great substitute. Maybe because I have been able to wean myself off of most sugar, my taste buds have adjusted. Yes, it is a little expensive, but where my health is concerned, I'm willing to put out a little more money. But since I don't eat many sweet products any more, my body has accepted the change and doesn't crave sweet food as much any more. Sugar is out, and after reading about all the research on the artificial substitutes, I was almost physically sick. Those little blue, pink and yellow packets we've been pouring into our drinks are highly toxic!!! It boils down to the fact that these products are made from wood alcohol. In other words, formaldehyde!It causes a myriad of health problems, and could be a pre-cursor to alzheimers, according to medical lab researchers. Many people experience loss of memory, slow, fuzzy thinking, or fogginess. There are so many other troubling symptoms that I cannot even list them all.This is why I tried "Just Like Sugar". I put one packet in my tea and couldn't tell any difference. I put 2 more in, and still couldn't tell it was sweet at all. I had the feeling I was going to stand there all day and pour it in and still nothing would change. I am stuck with 3 boxes now, but never fear I DID find something better called "TRUVIA". I found it at the grocery store and am very happy with it. It has the natural sweetner Stevia in it and is healthy for you. I have tried other sweetners with Stevia and was disappointed, but this one works! One packet is all you need. Forget Just Like Sugar. Try Truvia and stop searching! Like others, he complained about how unsweet it was. I wanted to give it a go so I tried using a lot of it in my tea (I like really sweet tea) and it just wasn't good. Granted, I would use this product before any artificial sweetener but it simply doesn't replace sugar the way it is advertised. I was really really hoping to love this product but unfortunately I don't. I guess if you just need a mild sweetener it would be ok but I cannot see how this replaces sugar. If you LOVE sugar I doubt you'll love this product.
