Having recently tried several versions of this product, this particular silicone tape works the best of the bunch -- and it is the most cost effective. Begin treatment once fully healed (typically about 7-14 days). Just cut the tape a bit longer and wider than the scar. Apply to clean and dry skin. It works best on recent scars. However, to my pleasant surprise, this silicone tape is effective in significantly reducing old scars as well (individual results will vary). Individual skin sensitivity to silicone also varies. Most folks tolerate silicone tape without issue. It is recommended to apply for 4 hours for the first few days and gradually increase contact time to 12-16 hours per day. I had no reaction to lengthy and continuous daily exposure -- other than a visible and welcome reduction in scarring.
