There were no instructions, but it was easy enough to figure out. I washed and dried the bumper. Then used the wipes that came with the guard to prep the bumper. The 3m double sided tape was already attached to the guard, so I just had to pull off the backing. There is a small triangle on the guard to help align the guard with the trunk latch. Just align and press into place. The guard is fairly rigid, so it was easy to line up and press into place. The guard has made a big improvement to the look of my car by hiding existing dings and nicks.
